My client are looking for an experienced AS400 iSeries RPG Analyst Programmer to play a pivotal role in the IT department. As a key member of their team, you will be responsible for analysing business requirements and designing, developing, and maintaining RPG applications on the AS400 iSeries platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand application requirements.
- Design, code, test, and maintain RPG programs on the AS400 iSeries platform.
- Perform system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
- Optimise existing applications for performance and scalability.
- Document code and system processes for future reference.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in AS400 iSeries development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as an RPG Analyst Programmer on the AS400 iSeries platform.
- Proficiency in RPG IV, CL, and SQL programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with DB2/400 database management is a plus.
