Azure DevOps Engineer – 12 month fixed term contract (salary based)

Our client is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join their team for a 12 month fixed term contract (salary based). The role offers hybrid working – 2 days a week onsite. If you’re passionate about implementing, maintaining, and documenting Azure hosted environments, this role could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and suggest new platform solutions
  • Enhance and deploy platform improvements
  • Support and guide the development team on environment decisions and issues
  • Escalate technical application support tickets

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • 2+ years in implementing and maintaining DevOps processes
  • Proficiency with Docker containers (Linux and Windows)
  • Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Experience with continuous deployments and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with centralized logging and health checks
  • Knowledge of Azure Pipelines, Azure SQL databases, Azure SQL MI, IIS, SSO, CosmosDB
  • Competence with Azure Git or equivalent source control
  • Experience with Azure Service Bus or similar (e.g., RabbitMq)
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and MS SQL

Beneficial Skills:

  • Platform tuning experience
  • Knowledge of Bicep, CloudFlare, ARM Templates, Octopus Deploy, C# .NET
  • Familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana dashboards, Seq, Loki, VM’s, Nginx, Azure Load Testing, Azure Application Insights, Azure Kubernetes Service
