C++ Software Engineer

Are you a skilled Software Development Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge control systems?  Based in West Yorkshire, my client are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join their Software Engineering team as a Software Development Engineer.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be a crucial member of the team, your responsibilities will include software specification, coding, testing, maintenance, and documentation.

To be considered, you should have:

• Proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Developer Tools and version control systems (e.g., subversion/git).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle applied mathematical challenges.
• Experience in multi-core, multi-process, and multi-threaded software development.
• Exposure to real-time and low-level embedded systems.
• Effective team player with excellent communication skills.

Any experience with the following would be highly desirable:

• Familiarity with real-time operating systems like Interval Zero RTX.
• Knowledge of Isagraf soft PLC and OPC DA/UA.
• Understanding of EtherCat, Profinet IRT, and SERCOS III protocols.
• Exposure to programming language compiler design (e.g., YACC).
