Cyber Security Engineer 

6 Month FTC

Our cient is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join their team on a FTC basis, As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, operation, and monitoring of our security tools and services. You’ll play a critical role in detecting and responding to cyber security incidents, working closely with external suppliers, including a 24/7 Security Operating Centre (SOC), to ensure rapid response to security alerts.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing security procedures consistently and accurately.
• Maintaining and configuring security tools in line with best practices.
• Testing and applying security patches and updates promptly.
• Producing clear procedural documentation and responding to real security incidents.
• Collaborating with technology teams to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure the secure delivery of changes.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience in cyber security, system engineering, or a related field, with hands-on experience in security tools such as anti-malware, SIEM, and threat detection solutions. You should also have a good understanding of Windows OS and some knowledge of Linux and MacOS.

Ideally, you will have a professional security certification (CISSP, CISA, CCNA, CEH, etc.), and a passion for staying updated on the latest security threats and solutions.
