My client is seeking to appoint a new IT/IS Manager who will manage the IT department which consists of 8 people, you will be responsible for:
- Strategic planning of the existing and future IT/IS requirements,
- Management, development, and leadership the IT/IS Team,
- Budgeting and resource management,
- Procurement,
- IT/IS operations and support,
- Security and risk management,
- Technology infrastructure,
- Evaluation, development, testing and implementation of new software,
- Delivering solutions as required by internal stakeholders, external software vendors, and customer base.
Knowledge & Experience
- Ideally university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and/or 5 years work experience in a senior IT / IS position.
- Windows server and desktop operating system
- VOIP
- Networking fundamentals
- VM-Ware and V-Sphere
- Cyber essentials +
- IBM System i
- ISO27001
- Cloud technologies
- Infrastructure / Software procurement
- Business process and systems analysis
- Business and system requirement specifications
- Managing development projects from conception through to delivery
- SDLC
- Problem investigation and solving
- Working with software developers
- Managing third party software and hardware vendors
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
- Ideally some experience of Logistics
- Software licencing and asset management
