Power BI Developer

Inside IR35 – 3 days onsite

Our client, based in the Croydon area have an exciting opportunity for a Power BI Developer to join on an initial 6 month contract. The Power BI Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of our corporate Business Intelligence (BI) reports. Working with cross-functional teams, you will participate to gather and document reporting requirements to meet business needs. Using your skills and experience as a BI Report Developer, you will then use those requirements to design, develop, test and implement reports and dashboards that utilize multiple data sources from multiple technologies.

Skills required:

• Experienced in data preparation, data gateways and data warehousing
• Proven experience in Power BI development and administration.
• Experience using DAX for advanced level calculations/complex formulas in Power BI
• Proficient in SQL and working knowledge of Oracle Databases

• Exposure to PowerQuery to load and transform data into required models
• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Power BI Administration and ensuring that adequate security procedures are developed and followed
• Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, analysis tools and embedded data visuals for their applications
• Work with Business Data Analysts and business users directly to understand requirements and identify best practice approaches to sourcing and modelling data
• Connecting to different data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence
• Ensures that adequate security procedures are developed and followed.
• Contributes technical knowledge and understanding of Power BI and data Warehousing to training programs, support processes, and operating procedures
• Supporting users at all levels with Power BI questions and issues
