Problem & Change Analyst – 1 Year Fixed Term Contract (with a view to extend)

Our client, a renowned British charity, is looking to hire a Problem & Change Analyst on a 1 Year fixed term contract basis with a view to extend further. 

The role can be fully remote with the opportunity to work hybrid out of London if you prefer.

Main duties and responsibilities

• The effective and efficient management of the Change lifecycle, ensuring changes are of a high quality and that change effectively feeds other processes to ensure Service information remains accurate.

• Chair the Change Advisory Board as part of a rota.

• Manage the Problem and Technical Debt registers to ensure appropriate owners, priorities and progress is reviewed and recorded.

• Ensure the Service definition including all relevant Configuration Items, service design and support models are in place for every supported service and maintained.

• Facilitate Emergency Changes ensuring adequate representation to assess impact and risk in accordance with documented guidance.

• Manage the Problem process of identifying the root cause of incidents, prioritising activity based on risk and impact assessments

• Ensure knowledge stores are in place for each service and are maintained through integration into systems and other processes specifically change.

• Drive the resolution of Problems utilising technical teams and vendors and best practice to determine and remediate the root cause of incidents.

• Ensure that resolution teams have identified an appropriate root cause before processing closure acceptance.

• Manage updates into the ITSM Toolset (Service Now) and knowledge stores to reflect new or updated services presented via the change or Transition process.

• Manage updates, priorities and timelines for remediation of items on the Technical Debt register.
