Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer – Permanent – Woking

£50,000 p/a

My client is looking for a bright, motivated, Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer (SAIE) to take ownership of the company Managed Cloud Services customer hosting environment with responsibility for maintaining and improving the service to match the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Working in the Cloud Infrastructure Team as part of the Technologies part of the business, and alongside the Product Development and Technical Services Teams, the successful candidate will also be heavily involved in pushing forward the company’s DevOps and pipelining capability, ensuring the smooth and reliable deployment of the company’s software into the Azure environment.

Skills required:

• 3+ years’ experience in maintenance and improvement of a Microsoft Azure Cloud hosting environment (not AWS), including knowledge of Azure Virtual Networks and Network Security Groups, as well as external threat management. (Management of just Office 365 in Azure is not sufficient).
• there is some customer interaction required for the role, from time to time, so articulate written and spoken English.
• some knowledge of provisioning software such as Terraform or Ansible would be a definite advantage.
• knowledge of DevOps pipelines and Containers (Kubernetes, Docker) would be a definite advantage.
