Systems Engineer
Our client a leading Financial Services company is looking for a Systems Engineer to join them ASAP. Role will be Hybrid working (3 days on site). Ideally you will be used to working in a fast paced environment and have excellent customer facing skills.
This role will provide IT support to staff, colleagues and product support personnel
Key Responsibilities
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related technical degree) or 3+ years of related experience within technical support or network/infrastructure environment.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the IT infrastructure by providing first line support of software, hardware and networking that incudes installation, configuration and troubleshooting. Support endpoint security standards (antivirus/firewall/patching/two-factor authentication).
• Strong Experience with Operating Systems, Software Proficiency, Networking and Hardware.
• End User Computing support for all staff.
• Demonstrated ability to understand the problem statement and troubleshoot complex technical issues with ease.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems.
• To hold Administrator function for some of the systems. Responsible for the granting of access and maintenance of system matrixOverall networking equipment monitoring (i.e. Network Switches, Firewall and other appliances) and support inclusive of the server room.
• Preserve the Assets of the company by implementing Disaster Recovery and back up procedures and ensuring that the standards comply with Group requirements.
• Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues.
• Leading investigation and resolving complex issues and escalations while demonstrating exceptional technical understanding, business process and customer needs in timely manner.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 and above.
• Experience with Linux based Operating System
• VMware v6.7 and above, Symantec Endpoint Potection/Encryption, Microsoft Office 365, ManagerEngine Patch Manager Plus
• Cisco Switches and Routers, Fortigate Firewalls and LAN/WAN Routing.
• Dell PowerEdge Servers and Dell PowerVault SAN Storage
• Project Manager and Data Analysis
