1st / 2nd Line Support – 12 month FTC

Considering the current climate with Covid-19, we are extremely privileged and happy to offer a fantastic opportunity to join a Global company as a 1st / 2nd Line Support Analyst on a 12 month FTC. Our client is one of, if not the largest company’s in the global marketplace of Financial Services.

As part of this Global group you will provide the worldwide family of companies with in-house services in the fields of IT Infrastructure, Application Platforms and Business Services.

The UK Branch is headed up by the Head of UK Infrastructure and primarily resides within the Infrastructure & Information Security Pillar with the aim and purpose of delivering and supporting the ongoing operations within the UK OE and new technology deployments.

Technologies covered include; Mainframe, Unix and Intel servers, HP-UX, Windows server and desktop, Exchange, Adabas, Oracle, SQL, WAN, LAN, Firewalls, RAS, Internet/Intranet and IPT and CTI which are designed and managed using both in-house and third party suppliers.

Expected Technical Experience:

* Windows O/S i.e. Windows 7/8/10 (deployment, configuration, registry settings)
* Working knowledge of SCCM including OS deployment, application deployment, fault finding and monitoring
* Microsoft Office suite – 2010, 2013, 2016 (configurations, fault find templates, macros, features & preferences)
* Active Directory basic administration, Group Policy
* Appsense (Environment Manager & App Manager, basic policy fault finding expertise)
* Understanding of message and Collaboration systems e.g. Exchange and Outlook
* Email security products e.g. Retarus and appreciation of White Listing
* Understanding of virtualisation technology e.g. VMWare
* Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN/WiFi technologies, VPN, DNS/ WINs DHCP, PXE and remote connectivity
* Expert knowledge of Desktop Hardware Architecture

Apart from the above technical skills the individual MUST have quality communication skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain commercial experience with a Global company and to be used as a stepping stone from 1st line support. A minimum of 6 months 2nd line knowledge is required so offers the successful individual a great chance to enhance their CV.
