BI Reporting Manager

Our leading retail client based in Leeds has a opportunity for a BI reporting manager to join their Data team at an exciting time. The data function is being transformed into the fundamental enabler at the heart of the business. Data provides the insights and information that powers key business decisions and operational processes. They envisage this being an exciting and fun time for the IT function where you will all be a central part of a key development within the business.

Role responsibilities:

* Owning the delivery of all centralised reporting across all corporate functions.
* Overseeing the migration from legacy reporting software to new more user-friendly tools that facilitate both self-serve and improved insight generation.
* Rationalising existing reports into a more concise and intuitive suite of dashboards that can be rendered on mobile tablets.
* Delivering a new operating model that delivers best in class, efficient and effective dashboards , sharing best practice across business silos.
* Own the relationship with software vendors to continually challenge the status quo and push for innovative approaches to delivering value.
* Defining and improving the operating model for engaging with the business and delivering exceptional reporting products.

Skills required:

* An energetic and enthusiastic reporting and BI professional that is passionate about data and the value that is can bring this business.
* A data advocate that can both articulate the reporting transformation, the benefits that reporting brings, adherence to governance protocols and bring the business on the reporting journey.
* An articulate person that is experienced at delivering a BI strategy and business transformation .
* You need to be a data professional, with experience in leading a BI function through a migration programme from legacy to innovation .
* A visionary that can identify the data roadmap and sell it to senior stakeholders.
* A power user of PowerBI , with experience in having delivered innovative and engaging data and reporting outputs.
* Experienced in overseeing a reporting migration programme is a definite plus!
* Nice to have – experience on WEBFOCUS.
* A strong manager that instils their enthusiasm and drive within the team.
* A can-do attitude is a must, as is the ability to deliver decisions with sound rationale and reasoning.
* Strong attention to detail, commercial understanding and ability to deliver to challenging business needs.
