Global EDI Integrator

Our global client, highly respected and market leaders within their field, is looking for an experienced EDI Global Integrator to join their team based in Birmingham, on a permanent basis. The Global EDI Integrator will work on development, testing, implementation, support and maintenance of the B2B, B2C and internal EDI processes which will include back office integration and interfaces with peripheral applications.

Global EDI Integrator – Key Skills:

* Comprehensive knowledge of information systems technology, including ERP such as JD Edwards/OneWorld
* JD Edwards F47 integration tables.
* Application integration strategies / tools, network and telecommunications.
* Understanding of communications within a LAN and WAN based environment.
* Windows Server architecture and security / certificates concepts and use.
* SQL / Embedded SQL/ CLLE / RPGLE / SFTP / FTP scripting / IFS / Query.
* SQL Server
* Unix scripting and procedures.
* Understanding of iSeries along with the corresponding operating systems.
* Familiar with IT system change management.
* Database concepts and design.
* Demonstrate IT best practices including, but not restricted to, ITIL.
* Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Global EDI Integrator – Responsibilities:

* Analyse and design technical specifications for EDI mapping, applications and interfaces.
* Deliver EDI connectivity with published standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML and VDA as well as via bespoke solutions.
* Provide EDI maps and workflows based on Trading Partner technical specifications or business requirements.
* Analyse, design, test, implement and support full life cycle processing between Trading Partners, communications configuration, mapping software and ERP systems.
* Ensure all development follows agreed standards and naming conventions.
* Carry out thorough impact analysis on any change to existing processes.
* Ensure data integrity and optimum performance of all interfaces and processes.
* Create, maintain and enhance data validation, manipulation, archiving and error handling routines.
* Carry out error investigation, fix and support activities to maintain smooth operation of EDI flow. Find, document and resolve root cause whenever possible
* Produce high quality documentation, covering solution design process flows, internal and customer test plans and support documents. The documentation needs to be accessible for both technical and non-technical users
* Develop and maintain KPIs for management reporting
* Provide end user support and training where required
* Provide out of hours on call technical support on a rota with team as required
