Our client is an established global company who have been placed at the forefront of their industry, and are positioned to continue increasing the scope of their customer solutions and services. They are looking for a specialist Report Writer to join an existing team dedicated to supporting reporting and data solutions across the whole company.

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing new, and the enhancement of, existing reporting solutions supporting both operational and back office functional areas by providing responsive, accurate and robust reports, this will also include the creation of data extracts that will be sent direct to external partners.

It is essential that this person has relevant experience of facilitating reporting solutions across multiple business functions, vertical reporting channels, and supporting business colleagues at all levels from operational to strategic. This person with take on responsibility for the onward development through to delivery, ensuring technical feasibility and that implementation is in the most appropriate method, adhering to team standards, to deliver the required reporting solution. Take on the responsibility of managing the existing repository of reports, ensuring that changes and enhancements are carried out in-line with departmental standards, whilst also identifying and communicating where improvements can be applied. Maintain scheduling needs and monitoring of report usage to ensure the on-going relevance and reliability of the reporting platform.

For reporting development purposes, good knowledge of SQL Server is essential, both for interrogative purposes to access data, and for the development of efficient and appropriate data solutions to support the reports. The primary reporting tool will be Crystal Reports, implemented via a SAP Business Objects Crystal Server, to provide both on-demand and scheduled reporting delivery.

An understanding of commercial business systems ideally gained within a logistics background, and covering ERP, customer services, warehousing and finance would be advantageous.

Essential Reporting Writer Requirements

* Excellent knowledge of Crystal Reports Developer
* Experience of deploying reporting via SAP Business Objects Crystal Server
* Administrative experience of SQP Business Objects Crystal Server
* Working experience of Microsoft SQL Server, with ability to work with T-SQL and Stored Procedures
* Knowledge of Microsoft BI Stack
* Knowledge of the Relativity reporting tool
* Knowledge of reporting design patterns and data warehousing solutions
* Experience of logistics business practices, and some knowledge of logistics/warehousing applications is desirable.
