Software Asset Management Controller – SAM

Job Purpose/Role

The purpose of this role is to work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimize the value delivered from the client’s third-party relationships for the supply of goods and services. Key measures are the achievement of software license compliance, cost optimization, risk management and other sources of added value.

Key Responsibilities

* Primary responsible for maintaining the software contracts database to determine, validate and report on the company’s software licence status.
* Responsible for ensuring that regular audits are undertaken to reconcile the installed software base against purchased software licences to verify compliance
* Responsible for assisting the provision of data for audit initiated by external suppliers
* Responsible for ensuring that all software licensing orders, renewals and contracts are managed accurately and efficiently in line with the cient’s IT Procurement policy and Regulatory and Compliance policy.
* Supports the IT Procurement Team Lead to deliver on agreed targets and service delivery.
* Supports cross-functional teams to successfully deliver Procurement initiatives.
* Builds and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders.
* Supports the business in all sourcing and supplier management activities.
* Provide necessary Management Information and compliance reporting requirements


* IT AM Experience
* Software contract analysis experience
* Sits on the server side of Asset Management, not the applications side which is how the team is split
* Technologies – IBM, Oracle, Microsoft and Redhat would be an advantage
