Technical Support Analyst

Our client, a market leader within their field who have invested heavily in recent years, is looking for an Technical Support Analyst to join their team based in Worcester, on a permanent basis. The Technical Support Analyst will provide day to day Technical Support within the Technical Consultancy Team, as well as ensuring the delivery of services / solutions to both internal and external customers are to business standards.

Technical Support Analyst – Key Skills:

* Proven knowledge of Citrix
* Proven knowledge of Linux and Windows server (2003, 2008(R2) and 2012) platforms
* Good knowledge of Virtualisation
* Knowledge of Windows Clients (XP, Vista, 7 and 8)
* Knowledge of SQL databases (Microsoft / MySQL)
* Familiarity with general Microsoft and Linux application software
* Knowledge of network principles
* Knowledge of Comms / Internet / Websites
* Knowledge of Exchange

Technical Support Analyst – Responsibilities:

* Support Technical Consultants to ensure the successful delivery of contracts to clients within agreed timescales
* Initial ownership of all support incidents raised with the Technical Consultancy team
* Act as a central point of contact for all other escalations to the Technical Consultancy team
* Assist with the evaluation of new technologies & solutions (both business and 3rd party)
* Provide RAS / PSG evaluations and recommendations as necessary
* Act as a technical point of contact for solution partners where required
* Assist with Contract allocation ensuring the correct resource and skill sets are applied
* To be available for out of hours work on a pre-arranged basis
* Produce & distribute documentation relevant to the role
* Perform any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time
* Provide monthly or bespoke reports as required
* To understand and support the business key strategic objectives and position in the marketplace
* Contact point for Operational changes for the business’ Core System
* Perform deployment testing of Open GI products and applications
