Application Support Engineer – DV Cleared
Our client is urgently looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, initially for 6 months with a view to extend.
Please note, the role is OUTSIDE of IR35. You must hold live UKIC DV. The role is on-site 4 days per week in Gloucester.
Application Support Engineer – Key Skills:
- Must hold a live UKIC DV
- Understanding of networking and software architectures
- Understanding of structured text formats: JSON, XML, CSV
The below skills are nice to have:
- Exposure to programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and Go
- API definitions: Swagger / Open API 3
- Shell scripting
- AWS or other cloud platforms’ administration
- Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
- Infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Kubernetes – cloud or on-prem
